Obesity intervention!

For my intervention, I took on the obesity crisis in the most grassroots possible fashion: Handwritten admonishments posted around Rainbow Foods. I've posted this thing everywhere else...and I can't fathom why I didn't think to put it up here right away.

And while I'm at it, I'll plug another student's intervention in the form of a guest blog entry asking if gender and race can really, meaningfully be studied through biology or science. She's not a group 1 member, but that doesn't mean you can't show her some love.

    I stuck around to judge reactions of shoppers / the intervention's success. As of the time I left the supermarket, I think they were all still up. I imagine they were taken down that night when the staff restocked the shelves and probably not earlier. There's so much brightly colored shit in a supermarket it's hard to notice these things unless you're looking right at them.
