please dont judge

My diet over the past few days was not what it usually is because i spent time with one of my friends who i have not seen in a long time, so i ate what he ate and food that was cheap, fast, and close by.
day 1:
9:10 am: I had to run to make it to my lecture in time so i got a bowl of cereal for the middlebrook dining hall, and a muffin.
4:10 pm: I was on break from my job though UDS in coffman, so i grabbed a hat trick sandwhich from the MDeli, some waffle fries from chic Fila, and a pint of 2%milk. because it was fast and free.

Day 2:
9:40 am: Before my class i went to the middlebrook dining hall and got 2 pancakes, 2 pieces of bacon, and a scoop of eggs. it was fast, and since i already purchased my meal plan i figured i should use it.

10:30pm: since i missed lunch and dinner spending time with my friends, we both decided we were hungry so went to Qdoba in dinkytown and bought a chicken burrito. We had a discussion over which place had the better burritos between Qdoba and chipotle, and since chipotle was closed we decided to go to Qdoba first.

Day 3
10:10am: I had to go into work on saturday at 10:30am so i wouldnt be able to use a meal plan to get breakfast, so i got a blueberry bagel from Einstien's in coffman.

1:10pm: since the coference lunch rush was over, my manager let the employees get sherbert from jamba, so i had 2 scoops of rasberry sherbert.

1:45pm: after work we can get a free sandwhich from Einstiens, so i got a turkey club.

6:00pm. TO settle to debate over which place had the better burrito we went to chipotle, so we could compare the two burritos, so i got a chicken burrito.

  1. Mason,

I am super busy with life, and I barely get time to eat and sleep. Do you think that society is so overworked and crammed for time, we pay for convenience of ready made food? In Sociology, we talked about how the US works the most hours a year out of every industrialized country. We work more to make more money to pay for leisure, but since our time is consumed and packed, do we get that leisure? In other countries, they can take a month off for a vacation, but here, my parents can barely get a week off to go to Texas.

What I'm trying to say essentially is that I believe that most of us are so consumed with a packed schedule, we barely get a chance to cook meals. Even now, I probably eat dinner with my family once every month, and I live at home!
